Welcome to Rolla, Missouri, home of the University of Missouri Rolla Engineering School, situated halfway between St. Louis and the Springfield/Branson Area. This bustling community of 21,000 people sits just on the edge of the Ozark Mountain and is the doorway to some of the prettiest land and streams in the country.
It is also the home of Splash Zone, a family aquatic center that boasts the world’s largest, 58 diameter vortex, creating a whirlwind of excitement for all who come to visit.
Splash Zone opened in 2002 and is routinely updated before the summer season. This year, Splash Zone needed to refurbish its leisure pools, lazy river, and plunge pools. Working with one of the area’s premier pool painters, Bazan Painting Co., the city has the pool up and running for the summer with a newly-applied coatings system.
This is where Induron entered the picture. We specified two coats of Perma-Clean II Epoxy. Prior to application, the existing coating was blasted to prepare the surface properly. Check out the before and after photos!
Perma-Clean II Epoxy Primer is a high solids, densely cross-linked, chemical and corrosion resistant, modified polyamidoamine epoxy primer formulated to provide excellent protection of steel, masonry and non-ferrous metals in corrosive environments. This epoxy uses a special modified polyamidoamine curing agent, which imparts the best properties of both amines and conventional polyamides. This primer is to be used as part of the Perma-Clean II system, which also features Perma- Clean II Semi-Gloss product used as an intermediate or finish coat, and a Perma-Clean II High Gloss finish. Most importantly, the ease of application, the wide range of colors and the superior chemical resistance make Perma-Clean II Epoxy a perfect fit for your pool refurbishment project.
