Meet the Newest Member of Our Team: Carl Moye

We are happy that the Induron team continues to grow, and we are pleased to welcome Carl Moye, our newest Sales and Service Representative! Carl will be working in our Georgia markets.

Before joining us this summer, Carl was Director of Procurement for Utility Service Company, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Carl was based out of the company’s operations office in Perry, Georgia. We originally interviewed him because of his sales experience, industry knowledge of mining and his experience working for a key water tank painting contractor.

While all of this experience is wonderful and will help him greatly in his new role at Induron, we ultimately hired Carl because he fits so well with our culture, particularly due to the fact that he embodies many of our core values – including integrity, respect and reliability.

Now that you know why we hired him and why he’s such a great asset to Induron, get to know a little more about Carl:

  • What is your biggest professional mistake and success? My biggest mistake was buying the wrong chemical when in the mineral processing industry, and I learned to make sure you have all the details and specs correct before you place the order. Biggest success was putting together a National Purchasing Program for packaging materials for the Mining/Mineral Processing Company I worked for, which was a multi-million dollar deal.

  • If you could have dinner with any person living or dead, who would it be? Erskine “Erk” Russell, Defensive Coordinator for University of Georgia Football for seventeen years (1964 – 1981). He personally awarded me along with Coach Vince Dooley at the conclusion of the 1978 camp with the Outstanding Attitude Award for all guys at the camp. He told me I wasn’t the best player there but I was the toughest 135 lb guy there. Coach Russell left UGA at the end of 1981 to start up a football program at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. He was the Head Coach at GSU from 1981 – 1989. Coach Russell brought a startup program to three NCAA Division 1-AA National Championships in 1985, 1986 and 1989. His motto was “Just one more time”.
