Induron was recently featured in an article in CoatingsPro Magazine for our role in repainting a 7.5 million gallon water tank in Lancaster, PA.
It’s a fascinating article, focused on the coordination and partnership of the coatings contractor, U.S. Tank Painting, and the coatings supplier, Induron, as well as the challenges of such a large project.
We also had the privilege of providing a supplemental article in which we explain the “Science Behind It.” While the main story describes the complexity of what occurs during a 7.5 million gallon tank repair and repaint project in order to provide safe water storage, the “Science Behind It” explains how coatings systems protect the water you drink. It describes what goes into our much smaller Induron paint production tanks to make the coatings that are used to protect water storage tanks as well as the drinking water inside it.
