The unofficial start to summer is officially upon us. Now that Memorial Day has come and gone, it’s time to make diving into summer more fun and less work.
For over 30 years, Bazan Painting Company in St. Louis has been an industrial contractor. One of their niche markets where they have enjoyed success is the painting of new and existing swimming pools. The pool market isn’t confined to residential pools. The bigger picture includes community pools, high schools, colleges, natoriums and even cruise ships (the photo shows one of the pools on a cruise ship using Induron’s coating for a sealant!).
Their product of choice for many years has been our major competitor’s epoxy. When I first spoke to the owner, Walt Bazan, Jr, about using Induron Perma-Clean II, we looked at the data sheet showing its physical and chemical resistance properties. He was receptive but reluctant, since the method and product that was being used seemed to meet the needs of all concerned.
However, about a year later, one of his largest clients complained that the coatings were just not lasting more than a couple of years. That opened the door for several calls, visits and discussions and eventually a trial of our Perma-Clean II Semi-Gloss Epoxy.
The feedback was that the quality of our product and its user-friendliness was superior. It also has a higher viscosity than what they were using, so they observed that it can be applied in a heavier coat, thus providing additional protection and longevity.
Induron Perma-Clean II is now their product of choice. This success has opened doors to municipalities that have numerous pools, as well as architectural firms who do this work across the United States.
So if you’ve got a pool to seal, and want less work and more fun this summer (and for many more summers), give us a call.
