Induron’s Size Advantage

By: Davies Hood, Induron President

Nimble: It’s an adjective that I use on a regular basis to describe Induron. We can and have responded to customer requests quicker and more effectively than others who must go through multiple layers of approval prior to a response. Plus, our size enables us to launch reliable products to the market more efficiently. Though I sometimes feel like a mouse running amongst a heard of elephants as we compete with some of the behemoths that dominate our marketplace, I realize that the maneuverability of that little guy is a serious asset. Reflecting on a Paint Career with Induron…

By: John Anspach, Induron Technical Director

In a flash of time, 15 years have passed. Unbelievable.

In fall of 2003, I interviewed with Induron Coatings looking for a fresh start in a career that had already spanned 25 years with three other coatings companies.  In the summer of 1978, I got my first taste of the coatings industry working as a QC technician summer intern for Ford Motor Co.’s coatings manufacturing plant in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The following January, I received a full-time job with them as a process engineer and a production supervisor in training. Induron Transitions into Next Generation of Leadership

By: David D. Hood, Induron CEO

The first time I earned a paycheck from Induron was as a 15-year-old in the summer of 1958. The company had bought a competitor and their machinery and equipment needed to be moved to our location. Since I was young, strong and eager to earn some money, I was the “hold the other end guy” for the job. My Dad drove me to work most days because I was not old enough to have a license. I earned a whopping $1.60/hour. Continue reading Induron Transitions into Next Generation of Leadership

Induron Celebrates Meeting Quality Goals

By: Jeff White, Induron EVP & General Manager

The last time you heard from me was in a blog about our Annual Christmas party. At that event, the Induron team not only celebrated the Christmas Holiday, but also our safety record and awards. Another thing we like to celebrate, which falls in line with our core value of “reliability,” is when we meet our quality goal. We only have one goal when it comes to quality: Get our customers the product they need. Continue reading Induron Celebrates Meeting Quality Goals
