Meet Induron’s Technical Service Director

By: Ben Rowland, Induron Technical Service Director

Having been employed by Induron Protective Coatings for over 10 years now, I’ve been able to watch the company grow consistently. In recent years, namely 2017, things have ramped up beyond what I would consider consistent growth. We have a dedicated sales team far larger than ever before. We have a geographic footprint more expansive than it has ever been before. We are delving into more diversified markets/industries than ever before.  In the midst of all these “ever before” statements, we’ve maintained our ability to serve our various customers and markets as well as any manufacturer in the industry. A History of the First 70 Years (1947-2017)

By: David D. Hood, Induron CEO

A history of the first 70 years (1947-2017) of:

The Industrial Paint Manufacturing Company (July 1, 1947-June 20, 1966)

Indurall Coatings, Inc. (June 20, 1966-Sept. 15, 1995)

Induron Coatings, Inc. (Sept. 15, 1995-Sept. 30, 2011)

Induron Coatings, LLC (Oct. 1, 2011-Present)

Seventy years ago, William E. Hood and Louis A. Prosch, Jr. started The Industrial Paint Manufacturing Company. These men believed in honor, integrity and serious, honest business. To begin the company, Hood, Prosch and several others invested $32,500 in capital. Prosch was the money and organization man and Hood was the paint formulator and face of the company. The two partners operated out of an office they borrowed from an uncle while assembling equipment to make paint. On May 6, 1948, they rented factory space, purchased equipment and made their first batch of red primer. Continue reading A History of the First 70 Years (1947-2017)

Palmyra Tank Refurbishments

By: Paul Powers, Induron Sales Representative

The city of Palmyra, Missouri, which is located two hours north of St. Louis, was platted in 1819 and is home to nearly 4,000 residences. With many buildings and homes listed in the historical  registry, Palmyra is rich with Civil War and Pony Express history. In fact, in 1827, the town became the Marion County Seat, which established it as the oldest postal stop in Missouri that is still in operation today. Induron is fortunate to have worked with the city to refurbish three water tanks. Continue reading Palmyra Tank Refurbishments

Today’s Technologies: Waukee Water Tower Project

By: Kent Keuhl, Induron Sales Representative

In today’s ever-changing world in the technologies marketplace, the use of pictures and videos for promotion of a company has transformed dramatically over the years.  At one time, a single photo told the story of a particular project or event.  The branding of a company was as simple as a go-to product that differentiates itself in the market.  For example, Induron’s ceramic modified epoxy coatings are unique to the coatings industry and differentiate our company.  Continue reading Today’s Technologies: Waukee Water Tower Project

We’ve Got Your Back

By: Linc York, Retired Induron Sales Representative

When my wife and I visited the Black Canyon of the Gunnison many years ago, I realized that I had a fear of heights. As I approached a guard rail along the canyon edge to admire it’s incredible depth, I literally stopped in my tracks. I slowly inched the remaining 20 feet, but became extremely uncomfortable.  I did not feel secure or trust the guard rail. Continue reading We’ve Got Your Back
