To close out the year, Induron is excited to announce its Top Projects of 2023! Our team had the pleasure of working with customers and contractors across the nation to complete these impactful coatings projects. Learn more about each project below!
1. Hamilton Township, NJ Water Tank Repaint
Aqua New Jersey’s 2-million-gallon standpipe water tank on location at their headquarters in Hamilton, NJ was in need of rehabilitation. Because the standpipe is visible from the highly-traveled highway I-195, Aqua keeps the tank in tip-top shape. The water tank required a full blast and re-coat on both the interior and exterior. Plus, with the prime visibility of this tank, Aqua decided to display the seal of Hamilton Township prominently on the tank along with the Aqua logo. Read more about this project here.
2. Restoring a 5-Million Gallon Ground Storage Tank for Huntsville, Alabama
Induron Representative Nick Jones had the privilege of partnering with Huntsville Utilities, Dixon Engineering, and G&L Sandblasting and Painting to restore Huntsville Utilities’ 5-million-gallon ground storage tank. This tank required a full interior and exterior renovation package. Read more about this project here.
3. Swansea Wastewater Treatment Plant Refurbishment
When the City of Swansea, Illinois realized it was time to bring their water treatment plant back up to their standard of quality, they turned to their long-time engineering firm partner, Thouvenot, Wade and Moerchen, Inc (TWM, Inc). TWM, Inc. then turned to Induron Sales Representative Paul Powers to make sure the proper protective coatings and surface preparation measures were specified to the bidding contractors. 4. A Coatings Solution for a New Tank in Frankford, DE
Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) manufactured and installed a new 1-million-gallon elevated tank for Tidewater Utilities, Inc. in Frankford, Delaware. Beacon Engineering was selected as the specifying engineer on the project, and Mumford Bjorkman Associates performed the inspection. Beacon Engineering specified Induron’s PermaClean-100 as the interior topcoat and Induron’s Permagloss Fluorourethane as the exterior topcoat. Read more about this project here.
5. Recoating Peotone, IL’s Pedosphere Tank
The original coating on Peotone, Illinois’s 250,000-gallon pedosphere tank had reached the end of its lifecycle. The tank owner, Aqua Illinois, involved Dixon Engineering as the engineer on the project, Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group as the general contractor, Semper Fi Industrial coatings as the paint contractor, and Induron Protective Coatings as the coatings manufacturer. Because the pedosphere tank is in close proximity to houses, containment was key to this project, in addition to the finishing in a timely manner, and ultimately, providing Aqua Illinois with a proper coatings to protect and extend the service life of the tank. 6. Brighton, MI Tank Rehab
Induron Sales Representative Rob Burckley partnered with G&L Sandblasting and Painting and Dixon Engineering to rehabilitate a 770,000-gallon ground storage tank for the City of Brighton, Michigan. The required a full interior and exterior renovation package and extensive repairs. Read more about this project here.
