Recently, I was reminded of the ole’ saying “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” It’s not every day, or even anything that occurs on any sort of regular basis, but a few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to work all weekend.
In order to meet customer demand caused in part by a raw material supply issue, our ‘crack’ operations team had the opportunity to impress. And boy… did they come through. Our entire crew not only worked overtime on Friday, but also came in on both Saturday AND Sunday to work full shifts.
The materials that were made and canned over the LONG weekend were very much appreciated–both internally and externally. I know that both Saturday and Sunday were hard, but I also know that the 5:00 AM whistle Monday morning was particularly harsh. I mention this because the spirit, attitude and dedication of ‘getting it right’ is what makes the Induron operations team so special.
While this dedicated crew is not the face of our organization, they make up the engine underneath the hood! That being said, I am confident that our team has the horsepower to get ‘er done… They showed us all!
